*** *** *** *** *** 2002 July 25 Thursday - Praise & Pray from the Hills of Japan YOUNG COUPLES CELL STARTED This past Sunday we had our first gathering of our Young Couples Cell. Mr. & Mrs. Yee (Korean couple), Mr. & Mrs. Han (Husband Chinese and wife Japanese), and Mr. & Mrs. Osawa (both Japanese). So now that you see the cultural diversity, what do they have in common? Married not too long, (3 years, 1 1/2 years, & 4 months.) Christian couples. All three husbands came to know the Lord through their wives witness before they got married. Pray as we continue to meet together that we will grow in worship, the Word, unity and outreach to other young couples who need Christ at the center of their marriage. Up Coming Schedule: Thursday 25th: Leon with Eriko Koizumi for English improvement. Cheryl with Mrs. Takahashi who has agreed to be her Accountability Share, Care & Prayer Partner. Tomoni 2002 Team arrives. Friday 26th: Prayer Drive / Walk and Orientation sessions with Tomoni Team in AM. Orientation with Event Leaders and Tomoni Team in the PM. Saturday 27th: Day Camp for elementary school age and younger children. Sunday 28th: Worship together in a bilingual service. 3 - 6 PM American Summer Cooking Fellowship time. Cheryl's recipes, with Leon leading the time. Targeting adults, men, women, and couples. From 4pm English Camp starts and runs through Monday 1 PM. Targeting Jr & Sr High, college students. Leon is the main leader with the good assistant of the students of the church. Monday 29th: Finish English camp. 10 AM - 1 PM English Tea Time. Targeting adult women. 3 PM - 4 PM Formal Tea Ceremony and Okoto (Japanese Traditional Harp) Mini Concert. Takashi Ikeda's parents will host Rev. & Mrs. Green, Nobue Konno and the Hill family for dinner. Tuesday 30th: Open prayer session with members of Midorino Chapel lead by Pastor Okita. In the PM the Tomoni Team will divide in two and travel to their next locations. Konno Nobue will lead on team and Leon will lead the other. Wednesday - Friday 31st - Aug 2: Leon in Sekiyado City assisting with the program there, lead by Pastor Gohira. Please pray us through this time.
