6 JANUARY 2000 - PRAISE & PRAY from the HILLS of JAPAN

THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT CHRISTMAS & NEW YEARS
GREETINGS!!! You all are in our hearts!

Not Y2K problems but "O-Y-do" problems. "Oh Y do" things get this
far behind? "Oh Y do I put it off?..." Those kind of problems.

I'm kind of under the gun with some "year end" items. Almost done
with them, but they have kept me boxed in my office of late...

BUT!, in the meantime we have also had some great times of family
celebration and celebrations with our Christian friends.

A highlight for us was to host Pastor & Mrs. Okita and their boys for a
traditional turkey dinner. Abigail was tremendously impressed with how
much teenage boys can eat. Please continue to pray for this "faithful,
faithful and again I say faithful" Christian couple. Their concern and
care for us goes beyond description and we love them dearly.

And to you all also, we give our Christmas greetings and pray blessings
abundant upon you ALL! Thank you for your faithful prayers and
support of God's great harvesting ministry in Ryugasaki New Town.

Some of you may think my Christmas greetings are late... (but then
perhaps I'm 11 months early???) Yet those who have lived with us
know that the Christmas carols get pulled out about every 2 - 3
months. We believe that with Christ's love in our hearts Christmas is a
daily event.

And thus we give you "The Prayer Request" for 2000. We pray that
we might shine as the star that lead the Wise Men to Jesus. We pray
that our lives will in the same way light the way to Jesus for many to
come to Christ in Ryugasaki New Town this year. We pray that in fact
the "Star" of David will stop over Ryugasaki New Town and that the
Good News of Jesus Christ will be born here, alive and growing, over
and over again in hearts.

Please pray together with us, in the last year of this our third term in
Japan, that we will see Christ's salvation secure new members for
God's family of love from Ryugasaki New Town this year.

Thank you for your ever faithful prayers. We praise God for you!

Your Compatriots in Christ's Kingdom,

The Hills: Abigail, Jeffrey, Cheryl & Leon
