16 MARCH 99 - PRAISE & PRAY from the HILLS of JAPAN

Yes those "irons in the fire" have kept us busy. And they keep burning
away...

But in the midst of the odds and ends, we give praise to our great Lord
Jesus Christ for the on going ministry with the Tomonari Family. Akiko
has been in church this past two Sundays with Reiko. Relationships
with the young people their age are growing. The both of them have
started to help as volunteers with Jeffrey's program. I had a good time
of fellowship with Mr. Tomonari a week ago Sunday in his home. We
have plans to have dinner together this coming Saturday evening.
Please PRAY for the Tomonari Family's Salvation.

I met with Miss Aki Taido (21?) this past week also. She will be going
to Eastern Oregon University to study for a year in LaGrande, Oregon
(this very afternoon in fact). We have made contact with the LaGrande
First Baptist Church and Rev. Rick McKinley and they will endeavor to
encourage Aki. PRAY that Aki will establish friendships with the
Christians there and develop a special relationship, leading to her
redemption. If any of you in the Oregon area would like to join us in
ministry to Aki, as she will be living in the dorm, she may be open to
traveling a bit on her school vacation times. Contact us and we will get
you in contact with Aki.

PRAY also for us as odds and ends are abundant these days... PRAY
for sermon preparation. I have finished the Jonah series and will be
developing a new series. PRAY for text selection and Holy Spirit lead
insight to the heart conditions needing care.

BTW not all is "nose to the grind stone"... Taking advantage of being in
Tokyo last Monday for a Pastor's meeting, I spent the evening with my
friend Jim O'Gieblyn. Thank you Jim!
