22 February 99 - PRAISE & PRAY from the HILLS of JAPAN

THIS WEEK: "Little by Little, Everyday, Jesus is Changing Me!"

Yes He cares about us all! We are all growing. Jeffrey is getting a
good start on his program for this month. Abigail has begun with a
math teacher, studying with a Japanese college student. Brett's
friendships with the youth at the church are growing into good Kingdom
relationships crossing human cultures. Dad (Leon) & Mom (Cheryl) are
keeping up with the new challenges that come our way everyday.
Yesterday (Sunday 21st), was quite a day. We had visits from Miss Aki
Taido - back from Kyoto, Miss Miwa Imada - she used to attend the
services in our house when a college student, Mr. Tomonari - Reiko's
father (extremely good conversations with him! KEEP PRAYING!) and
Mr. Hironao Tanaka & Miss Darla Green came too. We had a wonderful
time of fellowship with this dedicated international couple. You might
say "Oh my!" in reaction to such a schedule. But I say, "Oh my God,
you had it all planned so wonderfully!" When the day was done, Jeffrey
had had an extremely good program day, Daddy and Abigail had had
good times in the car going back and forth to Sekiyado (where Daddy
preached), and we all had been encouraged. We made plans with all of
these people to meet again.
MONDAY - 22nd:
Office & household chores... I'm STILL getting closer to moving my
office out of the house. Hope to be moving furniture by Saturday or
next Monday.

TUESDAY - 23rd:
Cheryl teaches English in the morning (I run Jeffrey's program.)

I volunteer at Ikedas in the afternoon. Evening Children's English and
nighttime Adult English.

WEDNESDAY - 24th:
Pray and preparation day. One on one with Brett. Date with Cheryl

THURSDAY - 25th:
Office work. Jr. - Sr. High English in the evening.

FRIDAY - 26th:
Mrs. Jeannie King (CBI missionary ministering at CAJ) will be coming to
help Cheryl.

I go with Pastor Okita to Yonezawa, across the mountains into the
snow, for a Pastor's and Elder's meeting.

SATURDAY - 27th:
Return with Pastor Okita. Awana Leader's meeting.

Nonaka family schedule to come for dinner. This is our third attempt.
Pray that it will not be hindered.

SUNDAY - 28th:
Worship at Midorino Chapel. Afternoon helping with Jeffrey's program.

* SANAE HOYA in Ogden studying English *

* AKI TAIDO, PRAY for God's guidance to just the right host family for
Aki. She arrives in LaGrande, OR on March 16th to begin her studies
at Eastern Oregon University there. Please pray for the LaGrande
Church which is endeavoring to help minister to Aki. *

Kenichiro's "senior year schedule" has caused him to stop our
meetings together. Pray for other opportunities.

Unless otherwise indicated, Cheryl is always the one running Jeffrey's
program and there is ALWAYS A SPECIAL PRAYER NEED for her.
